Blerta Bena

Blerta Bena is a compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC, LCADC, NCC) with a deep commitment to working with clients from diverse age groups, genders, and cultural backgrounds. With extensive experience in individual therapy, Blerta specializes in helping those who have experienced severe trauma, abuse, and substance dependence. Her successful approach also encompasses clients diagnosed with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and personality disorders. She believes that an integrative treatment approach is most effective, as it allows exploration of how past experiences influence present lives. Blerta’s goal is to facilitate growth and help clients lead more satisfying lives. With a strong foundation in both theoretical concepts and practical skills honed through her clinical training and a notable career in academia, she brings significant expertise from one of New Jersey’s leading psychiatric hospitals. Additionally, she holds a Master's degree in Clinical & Counseling Psychology from William Paterson University and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at Walden University, presently ABD (All But Dissertation). Blerta's blend of skills, empathy, and dedication empowers her clients on their therapeutic journeys.
