Bergen is a compassionate Ph.D. Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years of experience, dedicated to providing community service to those affected by the current war in Israel. With a commitment to supporting individuals of all ages—teenagers, adults, and elders—she specializes in managing ADHD, Depression, and navigating spiritual concerns. Her therapeutic approaches include psychodynamic and psychoanalytic modalities, which she adapts for both couples and individuals. Bergen believes in empowering her patients by helping them understand the intricate connections between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, allowing them to regain control and discover personal meaning in their lives. With a broad range of expertise that includes Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Post-COVID Syndrome, chronic pain, and psychological issues stemming from medical conditions and disabilities, her published research underscores her dedication to advancing knowledge in these areas. Bergen’s extensive training encompasses advanced neuropsychology and cognitive rehabilitation, complemented by insightful post-doctoral coursework in psychoanalysis. She has also played a vital role in academia, having spent 22 years on the full-time faculty of the APA-accredited Ph.D. program at Fairleigh Dickinson University, where she shared her knowledge through teaching and supervising graduate students in the domains of psychotherapy and psychopathology.
