Faith Thayer

Faith Thayer, PhD, LPC, LCAT, is a dedicated licensed professional counselor whose mission is to empower children on the spectrum in building meaningful and natural connections with their families and communities. Through these connections, she facilitates greater growth, independence, and joy in her clients. Families also experience enhanced confidence, being empowered to support their child's journey toward lasting developmental improvements. Faith leverages the power of a positive therapeutic relationship to help children achieve holistic developmental gains, guiding them towards leading their best lives. As an Expert DIR® provider and Training Leader, she utilizes developmental interventions aimed at fostering social and emotional growth, with a focus on critical areas such as regulation, social engagement, flexibility, and anxiety reduction. Faith is the lead author of "An Evaluation of a Developmental Individual-differences Relationship-based (DIR®) Creative Arts Therapies Program for Children with Autism." Formerly a faculty member at Daemen College, she currently lectures at Caldwell and serves as a PEERS Certified Provider, alongside her role as a Lead Licensed Professional Counselor with Positive Development.
