Abriendo Puertas/Opening Doors

Abriendo Puertas/Opening Doors is a vital parenting skills and advocacy program located in North Brunswick, NJ, designed specifically for Latino parents with children aged 0 to 5. This national, evidence-based initiative empowers parents to become their children's first teachers while advocating for their educational needs. Through a series of 10 engaging workshops, parents learn essential topics such as nutrition, positive discipline, child development, and school readiness, all rooted in real-life experiences. Our program offers both virtual and in-person options, and parents who complete the program have the opportunity to serve as facilitators themselves. With free access to these valuable resources, we are committed to promoting the long-term development and academic success of children within Middlesex County and Franklin Township in Somerset County.
