Melissa Green-jackson

Melissa Green-Jackson is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with extensive experience across forensic, inpatient, and outpatient environments, equipping her with a deep understanding of complex psychological difficulties. She specializes in assisting clients who have experienced trauma and is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), complemented by her training in somatic experiencing. Her knowledge encompasses the neurobiology of trauma and effective trauma treatment. Intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Melissa provides therapeutic support through both DBT and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) perspectives. As a member of a consultation team, she engages in delivering a comprehensive, adherent DBT program for both adolescents and adults. This personalized program offers intensive treatment tailored to individuals and their families, incorporating small group dynamics and out-of-session coaching. The adherence to DBT in this program has been shown to effectively reduce hospitalizations, decrease the need for higher levels of care, and lower instances of suicidality and depression.
