Sarah West

Sarah West is a compassionate and skilled Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of New Jersey, as well as a certified School Counselor in both Connecticut and New Jersey. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from LaSalle University and an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling from New Jersey City University. With experience as both a School Counselor and a private practice therapist, Sarah joined The Massler Center in 2020. She emphasizes the importance of collaboration and a positive counselor-client relationship as the foundation for effective treatment. In 2016, Sarah shared her expertise at the New Jersey Counseling Association conference, delivering a presentation titled 'Out of the Closets and Into the Streets: Assisting the Coming Out Process for LGBTQ Youth.' This lecture addressed various stages of the coming out process while focusing on enhancing the support of LGBTQ family members. Sarah is dedicated to creating a supportive and judgment-free atmosphere where her clients can authentically express themselves. This environment fosters the exploration of their journeys and helps in setting meaningful goals for personal growth and overall mental health.
