Food & Basic Assistance is dedicated to fighting hunger and providing essential support to individuals and families in Kearny, NJ. Our mission is to ensure that no one goes without the nourishment they need, offering a range of services including weekly Client Choice Walk-In Food Pantries stocked with refrigerated, frozen, and non-perishable food items. For those unable to visit us in person, we provide a Virtual Food Pantry with online ordering tailored for homebound clients. Additionally, we strive to meet diverse needs through mixed produce bags, packaged dinner meals, and periodic supermarket gift cards, as well as essential supplies like diapers and period products for our registered food clients. Each November, we also host a special Thanksgiving Distribution Program to support the community in celebrating the holiday.
