The Welcome to NYC Initiative is dedicated to providing compassionate and essential support for newcomers to New York City from its base in Englishtown, NJ. We understand that moving to a new city can be overwhelming, and our mission is to ease that transition by offering vital resources and guidance. Our program covers a wide array of services, including legal assistance with initial assessments, rights education, and referrals, as well as non-legal support such as self-help materials, case management, and interpretation services. We also connect individuals and families with medical and mental health resources, food assistance, clothing, housing options, and access to public benefits. Through our comprehensive support framework, we strive to empower newcomers with the knowledge and tools they need to thrive in their new home.
