Food Service Training Academy

Located in Elizabethport, NJ, the Food Service Training Academy is dedicated to combating hunger by empowering individuals to overcome poverty through skill development. Our comprehensive, free 15-week training program equips students with essential culinary skills tailored for careers in the retail and private food sectors. Participants gain valuable certifications, including ServSafe, positioning them for entry-level roles as chefs and other food industry positions. Classes run Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and we offer transportation assistance for eligible attendees. Our curriculum not only covers culinary techniques but also emphasizes life skills, effective communication, nutrition, and healthy cooking to ensure well-rounded training for our graduates. We welcome adults aged 18 and older who possess a high school diploma or GED to join us in building a brighter future through food service.
