Food Service Training Academy

Located in Elizabeth, NJ, the Food Service Training Academy is dedicated to combating hunger by empowering individuals through education and skills development. Our free, 15-week intensive program equips adults aged 18 and older with essential culinary skills for the retail and private food industry, preparing them for stable, living-wage careers. Graduates receive industry-recognized certifications, such as the ServSafe certification, along with vital life skills that encompass effective communication and nutrition education. Classes run Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at our food bank location, and we offer transportation assistance to eligible participants, making our program accessible to those eager to succeed in the food sector and beyond.
