SNAP-Ed

SNAP-Ed, based in Dover, NJ, is dedicated to empowering communities through practical education around healthy eating and active living on a budget. As part of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education, we offer free classes that guide participants on making informed food choices and incorporating physical activity into daily routines. Our programs emphasize essential behavioral changes, such as increasing the intake of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, reducing consumption of sugary drinks and sodium, and fostering a balanced diet appropriate for all life stages. Open to everyone in the public, SNAP-Ed classes are available through Zufall Health in Hunterdon, Morris, Somerset, Sussex, and Warren counties.
