Dr. Joe Adegboyega serves as the Clinical Director for a dedicated group of mental health and substance abuse professionals, known for their extraordinary commitment to patient care, respect, and passion. With extensive training in mental health and substance abuse services, including assessment, treatment, and prevention, Dr. Joe holds a PhD in Counseling Psychology. His credentials encompass a Master of Addiction Counselor (MAC) certification from a national body, Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS), Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS), and Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) recognized by USDOT. Additionally, he possesses international certifications, including ICAADC and ICCS. Dr. Joe and his team proudly serve diverse populations, offering tailored support to both young adults and older adults. His experience includes training mental health and substance abuse counselors across North Carolina and contributing to research at the Duke University Addiction Program, funded by NIH. Since 2009, he has been providing essential supervision and conducting training seminars for aspiring counselors, guiding them toward certification and licensure with the State Professional Licensing Board (NCSAPPB). Notably, Dr. Joe has launched Guidance Assistance/Advisory Services (GAAS), designed to support the emotional well-being of sports professionals, utilizing talk-therapy techniques to preemptively address their concerns and protect their careers from potential pitfalls.
