Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard is dedicated to combating hunger in Wilmington, NC by providing emergency food assistance to individuals and families in need. Our compassionate volunteers work tirelessly to ensure that everyone has access to nutritious food, regardless of race or religion, while maintaining the dignity of those we serve. Families are welcome to visit us up to three times each month to receive a 3-5 day supply of groceries, including both shelf-stable and frozen items, tailored to meet basic nutritional needs. For those without cooking facilities, we offer smaller weekly bags. In addition, we provide essential services that address toiletry, diabetic, and infant needs. There is no requirement for agency referrals, as clients can self-declare their need for assistance. Together with the community, we strive to ensure that no one goes hungry, embracing a full spectrum of support and care for our neighbors.
