LiveSTRONG at the YMCA in Waxhaw, NC, is a transformative program dedicated to supporting cancer survivors on their journey to a healthier lifestyle. This free initiative encourages participants to enhance their well-being through a holistic approach that nurtures the spirit, mind, and body. By meeting twice a week, individuals engage in a variety of exercises led by certified trainers, including cardiovascular workouts, strength training, and stretching. The program also fosters a sense of community through group discussions and personalized goal setting. Participants gain unlimited access to all YMCA facilities and classes during the 12-week session, receive nutrition education from a registered dietitian, and benefit from tools such as a LiveSTRONG wristband, guidebook, planner, and weekly support sessions.
