The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Sanford, NC, is dedicated to transforming our food systems through education and empowerment. This unique program sponsors and trains passionate individuals as they work to create a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just. We provide an immersive, six-month residential experience at the Allegheny Farm, where Fellows engage in organic food system education, cultivate diverse crops, support community gardens, and enhance local health initiatives. Our Fellows take their knowledge into action during a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to further promote access to healthy foods and foster community resilience. With no tuition fees, we strive to ensure the Fellowship is accessible to all who are eager to learn and advocate for sustainable food practices. Applications are open until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
