At the Jo Story Senior Center in Roanoke Rapids, NC, we are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for senior citizens through a range of programs that promote wellness and independence. Our welcoming environment offers exercise classes, engaging games, and both congregate and delivered meals, ensuring that seniors can socialize and enjoy a cup of coffee in good company. We proudly provide free transportation for residents aged 60 and over living within one mile of city limits. In addition, we offer valuable information and resources on aging-related issues and support for family caregivers. Although we are currently closed to the public due to COVID-19, our staff remains available to assist with any needs or provide a friendly conversation. We are launching weekly check-in calls and exploring 'distance socialization' programs to keep our community connected.
