Susan Lester is a compassionate Clinical Social Worker and Therapist, dedicated to helping individuals navigate the complexities of their lives. Her belief that behaviors, choices, struggles, and symptoms are interconnected within the context of each person's unique story and environment guides her practice. Susan has a profound commitment to offering hope and healing, influenced by her own journey through brokenness. She works with adults, families, and couples facing challenges such as PTSD, trauma, relationship issues, addiction, and grief, among others. With a Bachelor of Social Work focused on family studies from James Madison University and a Master's in Social Work from North Carolina State University, combined with additional certification in addictions, Susan brings a wealth of experience from inpatient, outpatient, and community settings serving diverse populations. She utilizes various therapy modalities including Trauma-Focused, Narrative, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and the Gottman Method to create a safe and supportive environment. In her practice, she fosters an atmosphere where clients can honor their stories, develop new skills, and achieve a balanced and fulfilling life. Outside of therapy, Susan enjoys spending quality time with her children, cooking, and taking long walks with her sheltie. She looks forward to guiding clients on their healing journeys.
