Kathleen Moore, a licensed professional counselor since 2001, possesses a Bachelor’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from The Pennsylvania State University and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Old Dominion University. With a rich tapestry of experience in community mental health, managed care, medical and psychiatric hospitals, Drug Court, and medically-assisted opioid treatment, Kathleen is profoundly equipped to guide individuals through their unique journeys of self-discovery. Having been a military wife for 20 years, she understands the complexities of personal and relational challenges. Specializing in addictions treatment, eating disorders, trauma, and grief, she utilizes a Client-Centered, Solution-Focused approach that incorporates evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Transpersonal Psychology principles. Kathleen is dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and adults (ages 14 to 65) uncover their thoughts, feelings, and true needs, enabling them to develop new, healthy coping strategies to navigate life's challenges through individual, group, and family counseling.
