Allison Grubbs is a compassionate and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist. With a Master’s Degree in Social Work from UNC-Chapel Hill, she has devoted her career to supporting adolescents, adults, and families at a substance abuse and mental health outpatient treatment center, facilitating group sessions and providing tailored individual therapy. Her background includes an undergraduate degree from the NCSU College of Design and years as a high school visual arts teacher, which allows Allison to incorporate expressive arts into her therapeutic practice. As a Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS), she provides guidance to those pursuing both the LCSW and LCAS credentials. Allison is also a Certified Daring Way Facilitator, trained in Brené Brown's methodologies, promoting resilience and wholehearted living. Recognizing the significance of the mind-body connection, she has recently become a Yoga Teacher and is currently training as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. Her approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that the therapeutic relationship is essential for healing. By creating a safe, non-judgmental space, she empowers her clients to grow through trust, respect, and compassion, addressing essential topics such as addiction, anxiety, and self-esteem with kindness and expertise.
