LiveSTRONG at the YMCA in Matthews, NC is dedicated to supporting cancer survivors as they embark on their journey toward a healthier lifestyle. Our program, offered at no cost, focuses on enhancing well-being through a comprehensive approach to fitness that includes cardiovascular, strength, and flexibility exercises, all facilitated by certified trainers. Participants benefit from unlimited access to YMCA facilities and classes during the 12-week session, alongside valuable nutrition guidance from a registered dietitian. With a strong emphasis on community support, we conduct weekly group discussions and goal-setting sessions, ensuring every participant has the resources they need to thrive. We warmly welcome cancer survivors, including those currently in treatment, to join our empowering initiative where they will receive a LiveSTRONG wristband, guidebook, planner, and journal to aid their progress.
