Julie Callahan is a dedicated and experienced counselor with over 21 years of experience in play therapy, Montessori education, and school counseling. With a strong focus on the social, emotional, and academic needs of children aged 3 to 18, she offers support to families navigating 504 or IEP challenges. Julie is intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Radically Open DBT, and she actively leads DBT and RO DBT groups for parents and adolescents. Additionally, she provides training for families with children aged 8 to 12, utilizing DBT for Children (DBTC). As a registered play therapist supervisor, Julie understands that play is the natural language of children, allowing them to express feelings and communicate through play therapy effectively.
