The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Elizabeth City, NC, is dedicated to nurturing emerging leaders who advocate for a resilient, equitable food system. Through hands-on training and empowering experiences, we equip Fellows with the knowledge and skills to promote socially, environmentally, and economically just practices in food production. Our Fellowship offers comprehensive organic food system education and real-world opportunities for community engagement, allowing participants to grow and distribute diverse crops, support local farmers' markets, and integrate food and ecological literacy into educational settings. Our selected Fellows embark on a six-month experiential journey at the Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a year focused on community action in partnership with regional non-profits. We believe in accessibility, which is why we do not charge tuition, inviting passionate individuals to apply by March each year for a transformative experience that runs from May to October.
