Founded in 2019, Clearwater Counseling and Consulting, PLLC, is the vision of Elizabeth Kovacs, LCSW, who aims to provide a supportive space for adults navigating the complexities of caregiving, parenting, chronic illness, and family tension. Situated on the picturesque shores of Lake Norman, Clearwater Counseling is committed to being a sanctuary of comfort and affirmation for teenagers, adults, and senior citizens alike, helping them find solutions and develop effective coping strategies. Elizabeth takes pride in working with a diverse range of clients, embracing individuals of all genders, races, faiths, identities, and sexual orientations. Holding a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Elizabeth has gained invaluable experience through internships focused on caregiver support for Traumatic Brain Injury and holistic care in Eating Disorders. Passionate about listening to others' stories, she assists clients in recognizing and harnessing their unique strengths. As a parent to three school-age children and a caregiver for an elderly parent living with dementia, Elizabeth brings a personal understanding of caregiver stress, enhancing her empathetic approach to therapy.
