Kristen Bumgarner is a dedicated Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate with extensive expertise in supporting individuals starting from age four. She earned her Master of Arts Degree from Wake Forest University, following her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2015. A proud North Carolina native, Kristen is passionate about meeting the diverse needs of clients in her community. With experience in various settings, including schools, outpatient clinics, and home-based therapy, she works compassionately with individuals, couples, and families. Kristen’s therapeutic approach encompasses a range of techniques, including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), ensuring each therapy experience is tailored to the unique needs of her clients. She is particularly skilled in assisting children, teens, and young adults on the autism spectrum through ABA therapy. Outside of her professional life, Kristen cherishes time spent with her children, family, and friends and enjoys reading, supporting local artists and musicians, traveling, and exploring historic landmarks.
