Elisabeth Hargrove is a dedicated clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience serving a diverse client population in the Triangle area. Her expertise spans working with young children, teens, and adults dealing with family issues, behavioral concerns, and trauma. As a bilingual therapist, she is committed to advocating for the local Latino community. Elisabeth holds a firm belief in the intrinsic worth and dignity of every individual, and she considers it a privilege to assist clients in discovering their own strength and optimism in the face of life’s challenges. She understands that life can be difficult and provides a safe, supportive environment for clients to explore their feelings. With a passion for fostering inner strength and resilience, her therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental. Elisabeth employs techniques such as short-term solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral therapy to address a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, and anger management. A long-time resident of the Triangle, she earned her B.A. in English from Davidson College and her M.P.H. and M.S.W. from UNC Chapel Hill. Outside of her professional life, Elisabeth enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring nature, listening to music, and practicing meditation.
