Angelita Dawkins is a dedicated counselor, licensed clinical mental health counselor (LCMHC), and licensed clinical addictions specialist (LCAS) based in North Carolina. She understands that everyone faces various challenges in life, but believes that while we cannot always control our circumstances, we can be empowered to navigate through them. With a goal of walking alongside her clients, Angelita assists them in 're-writing the script' to foster meaningful changes in their thinking, emotional responses, and overall behaviors. She aims to be an agent of transformation, supporting individuals in making the desired changes in their lives. Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University, Angelita is currently advancing her expertise by pursuing a Ph.D. in Counselor Education & Supervision from Capella University. With extensive experience helping both adults and adolescents, she specializes in addressing addiction and substance use issues, anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, life stressors and transitions, family dynamics, relationship challenges, eating disorders, trauma, self-esteem struggles, and anger management. Her compassionate approach provides a safe space for clients to explore their experiences and foster growth.
