The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Candler, NC, is dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders in sustainable food systems. We provide comprehensive training that enables Fellows to advocate for a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just. Through our experiential residential program at the Allegheny Farm Campus, participants learn about organic food system education and engage in hands-on activities that range from growing and distributing diversified crops to maintaining school gardens and implementing health-based educational sessions. Our Fellows work collaboratively with local nonprofits during their Community Action Year, enhancing food access, fostering community coalitions, and mentoring future advocates. We believe in making this transformative experience accessible by not charging tuition, reflecting our commitment to inclusivity in promoting healthy, sustainable food practices in the region.
