The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program in Boone, NC, is dedicated to providing vital food assistance and support to eligible pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and children up to age five. Our mission is to promote the health and nutrition of families through access to nutritious foods, health care referrals, and breastfeeding support. We also offer essential eating tips to help families make informed choices about their diet. Transitioning to an electronic benefit transfer system, known as eWIC, allows our participants to easily manage their food benefits through an eWIC card at local grocery stores, simplifying the process of obtaining healthy food for their growing families.
