Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Washington, MO, empowers individuals to become advocates for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through this comprehensive fellowship, participants receive tuition-free training in organic food system education, allowing them to engage in hands-on experiences at the Allegheny Farm Campus. Over six months, Fellows learn to grow diverse crops, implement innovative health-focused educational sessions, maintain community gardens, and promote food literacy in schools. This program also emphasizes the importance of supporting local farmers' markets and developing effective distribution channels for healthy food access. Following their training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, partnering with regional non-profit organizations to apply their skills and drive meaningful change. Prospective Fellows should apply by March to join this impactful journey starting in May.
