The Ida Mae Patterson Center for Maternal and Infant Wellness, located in Oak Grove, MO, is dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of African-American families through the innovative Village Circle Approach™. Our Community-Embedded Group Prenatal Care model offers a unique and nurturing environment where pregnant clients can connect with peers while receiving comprehensive prenatal education and support. We focus on empowering our clients through informed consent and community collaboration, all within a culturally affirming space that celebrates diversity. By addressing and combatting the adverse effects of racism in healthcare, we strive to ensure clinical excellence and enhance client autonomy, equipping families with the resources they need for a healthy pregnancy and childbirth. Our trained doulas provide essential physical and emotional support, guiding mothers throughout their labor journey. Together, we are building a supportive community for maternal and infant wellness.
