Community Connections Youth Project (CCYP)

At the Community Connections Youth Project (CCYP) in Independence, MO, we are dedicated to empowering older foster youth as they transition to adulthood. Our program offers vital navigational assistance and resources to ensure youth facing this critical journey are not alone. CCYP provides a range of support, including social services, employment assistance with resumes and interviews, access to our food pantry, and a clothing closet to meet immediate needs. We also assist with obtaining driver's licenses, navigating legal issues, applying for HUD housing, and finding both physical and mental health providers. Additionally, our educational support includes advisors for enrollment, ACT preparation, and financial aid guidance. Our mission is to equip young people with the tools and confidence they need to thrive independently and build a successful future.
