Patricia Altenburg, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a PhD, passionately dedicates her practice at Reclaim to supporting women who are experiencing the pervasive effects of relational abuse, betrayal trauma, and sexual coercion. Recognizing that trauma frequently arises from a partner's addiction to pornography, substances, or other compulsive behaviors, Patricia also sheds light on the often unseen and disregarded issue of covert emotional abuse, a 'hidden epidemic' prevalent today. Her expertise extends to assisting women with PTSD stemming from family-of-origin issues or other traumatic experiences. At Reclaim, Patricia cultivates a safe and nurturing space, providing a pathway to healing through various therapeutic modalities, including Mindfulness-Based (MBCT), Trauma Focused, and Compassion Focused approaches. She offers teletherapy tailored for women grappling with addictions, dysfunctional-family dynamics, emotional abuse, and coercive control.
