Jefferson County Rescue Mission

At the Jefferson County Rescue Mission in Barnhart, MO, our mission is to provide vital food assistance, clothing, and shelter to those in need across Jefferson County and parts of St. Louis County. We are committed to serving the homeless, unemployed, victims of abuse, children, the elderly, and others facing challenging circumstances. Recognizing that our clients often require more than immediate material support, we also offer a safe refuge for those escaping violence, guidance for those struggling with substance abuse, and referrals for educational and job training resources. Our services extend beyond basic necessities; in addition to our food pantry and soup kitchen, we distribute Christmas and Hanukkah food baskets filled with gifts, provide school supplies during the back-to-school season, and offer a free prescription drug discount card. While we may not have the capacity for direct financial assistance like rent or utility payments, we actively connect our clients with local organizations and churches to address their specific needs.
