In the heart of South Lyon, MI, the Open Door Client-Choice Food Pantry is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to men, women, children, and seniors who are experiencing financial difficulties. Our mission is to alleviate hunger by offering free, nutritious food and personal care items on a monthly basis to individuals and families facing challenging circumstances. We proudly serve a diverse community, including low-income families, single parents, senior citizens, unemployed individuals, disabled veterans, and the working poor, ensuring that anyone in need is welcomed with compassion and respect. Clients can choose from a variety of groceries to best meet their needs, with the amount provided based on household size. To receive assistance, we require documentation that includes picture identification, proof of residency, household income, and child custody if applicable. In response to COVID-19, we have adapted our services to offer safe, drive-up food distribution, helping to ensure our community continues to receive vital support during these challenging times. We believe in serving everyone without discrimination, reflecting our commitment to inclusivity and dignity for all.
