Desirae Dawn Grunwell

Desirae Dawn Grunwell, a clinical social worker and therapist with credentials including an MSW and LLMSW, believes that everyone has a unique journey, and acknowledges that some parts of those journeys can leave individuals feeling stuck or lost. Having explored her own mental health journey, she understands that life can indeed be complicated. For those sailing through unstable waters, asking for help can feel daunting; however, while patients are the captains of their ships, they need not sail alone. Desirae aims to be part of their crew, assisting them in identifying and reaching their goals within a safe, empathetic, and confidential environment. Her mission is to help individuals feel empowered and confident, equipping them with the necessary skills to manage life's challenges. With experience working with a variety of populations, she has provided support to children aged 6 and older, adolescents, teenagers, adults, and families. Desirae has also worked extensively with the LGBTQIA+, substance abuse, and chemical-dependent communities addressing issues like anxiety, self-esteem, anger, trauma, and life transitions. She values honest, down-to-earth conversations about change and mental health. As a minority, Desirae understands the challenges of navigating life, especially in a world where mental health services may be stigmatized. Her commitment is to take every individual seriously and collaborate on making adjustments to life’s ever-changing seas.
