The Open Door Food Pantry in Pontiac, MI, is dedicated to providing essential food assistance and personal care items to individuals and families in need. Our Client-Choice Food Pantry operates monthly, supporting men, women, children, and seniors facing economic challenges by offering free groceries to those who lack adequate resources. We serve a diverse clientele, including low-income families, single parents, senior citizens, unemployed individuals, disabled veterans, and the working poor, ensuring that anyone who reaches out for help finds a supportive refuge. Clients are welcomed to receive nutritious food and personal care products, with assistance contingent upon providing necessary documentation such as ID, proof of residency, and income verification. Additionally, we offer a voucher for our resale store four times a year, to further support our community. Our services are inclusive, irrespective of race, color, or religion, and we strive to meet the urgent needs of our neighbors. In light of COVID-19 precautions, we are currently providing drive-up food distribution to maintain health and safety, ensuring that help is still accessible to those in need during these challenging times.
