The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Muskegon, MI is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. By sponsoring and training passionate fellows, this program emphasizes the principles of social, environmental, and economic justice within organic agriculture. Our fellows engage in hands-on learning at the Allegheny Farm, where they gain invaluable experience through community partnerships that promote diverse crop production, innovative health education, and comprehensive food literacy initiatives. With a commitment to accessibility, the fellowship does not impose tuition fees, ensuring that opportunities are open to all. During their six-month residency, fellows will enhance community gardens, support local farmers markets, and contribute to healthy food access initiatives, followed by a Community Action Year to apply their knowledge with regional non-profit organizations. Applications are accepted until March each year, with activities running from May to October.
