Brenton Place is a dedicated counselor with a deep appreciation for the opportunity to guide others on their paths to change and growth. He possesses extensive expertise in addressing challenges related to depression, anger, anxiety, ADHD, Asperger's Syndrome, substance abuse, and couples/family therapy. Brenton has a particular passion for working with men, understanding that emotional expression is often overlooked in decision-making processes. While this may serve in professional environments, he emphasizes the necessity of incorporating personal emotions for building fulfilling and functional relationships. Specializing in interpersonal communication skills, Brenton believes that while conflict is inevitable, destructive tactics such as fighting, scapegoating, shaming, and blaming are unnecessary. These behaviors often stem from ineffective communication, a common challenge he helps his clients overcome. His work extends to young men and adolescents, where he finds joy in transforming initial reluctance into positive therapeutic experiences.
