Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Holland, MI is dedicated to empowering individuals to become advocates for a fair and sustainable food system. Through a comprehensive, experiential program, selected Fellows receive training in organic food systems, community engagement, and food justice, fostering a commitment to socially, environmentally, and economically just practices. Over six immersive months at AMI’s Allegheny Farm, participants gain hands-on experience in growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing educational health initiatives, and developing community gardens. Following their training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to enhance access to healthy foods and promote ecological literacy within schools and communities. The fellowship is tuition-free, ensuring that all aspiring advocates can join this transformative journey, with applications due each March for the following season.
