Nicole Novak Kotchka

Nicole Novak Kotchka is a licensed Master Social Worker and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, bringing a wealth of expertise in her field. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from Central Michigan University and her Master’s degree in Social Work from Grand Valley State University. With experience in crisis intervention within psychiatric settings and various residential facilities, she specializes in addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, self-esteem challenges, anger management, strained relationships, family conflict, divorce and breakup, grief and loss, as well as substance abuse. Nicole passionately works with individuals and families, particularly older teens and adults, fostering a therapeutic relationship centered on mutual trust and respect. Her commitment lies in providing compassionate yet candid feedback and effective problem-solving, guiding clients on their healing journeys. Recognizing that beginning therapy can be daunting, Nicole aims to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where underlying issues that contribute to discomfort and addiction can be explored.
