Laura Meeker Wicksall, LMSW, is a dedicated Clinical Social Worker and therapist who seeks to guide individuals toward a deeper connection with themselves and their relationships. Many who come to her feel lost, confused, and lonely, often finding that their desire for close connections also brings pain. Laura believes that a key aspect of therapy is building a compassionate relationship that helps dissolve feelings of isolation. Trained in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), she employs emotion-focused techniques to confront defenses and connect clients with their inner emotions. With experience in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), Laura incorporates a somatic framework to address anxiety and emotional challenges. She values relational work, deeply appreciating the opportunity to truly get to know those she assists.
