Brittani Decess, MA, LLPC, understands that seeking therapy can feel intimidating, especially when individuals are unsure of where to find a safe space for open and honest communication. Clients may experience feelings that something isn't quite right, be navigating trauma, exploring their sexual or gender identity, or dealing with increased anxiety. With a recognition that when aspects of one’s identity, values, and experiences begin to clash or feel misaligned, distress often follows, Brittani focuses on the significant impact of diversity, values, and community on mental health. She provides counseling through a queer-affirming, racial, and gender equity lens, affirming each individual's unique experiences and backgrounds. Brittani is dedicated to supporting individuals, families, and various relationship dynamics—not limited to dyads—through both talk therapy and creative therapeutic methods. Her extensive experience encompasses working with adults, teens, and children facing trauma, and she is knowledgeable in areas such as domestic violence, sexual assault, LGBTQIA+ issues, relationship dynamics, anxiety, and depression. Whether assisting a child in need, a couple or nontraditional relational group discussing dynamics, or an individual undergoing significant life transitions, Brittani is passionate about unpacking and exploring paths toward healing using creative techniques such as art and play.
