The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Grand Blanc, MI is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of advocates for sustainable food systems. Our program empowers Fellows through hands-on education in organic farming, community food advocacy, and ecological literacy. By offering a tuition-free fellowship, we enhance accessibility and invite passionate individuals to explore innovative practices that promote social, environmental, and economic justice in food systems. During their six-month immersive experience at Allegheny Farm, participants learn to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement educational health sessions, maintain community gardens, and support food access initiatives like farmers markets. Following this transformative training, selected Fellows engage in a Community Action Year, partnering with local non-profits to apply their knowledge and foster positive change in their communities. Interested individuals can apply by March of each year to begin their journey from May to October.
