The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Fenton, MI, is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of leaders who advocate for a just and sustainable food system. We empower our Fellows through comprehensive training and hands-on experience, ensuring they leave with the skills necessary to make a meaningful impact in their communities. Fellows engage in a six-month immersive, residential program at our Allegheny Farm Campus, where they learn about organic food systems and participate in various initiatives such as growing and distributing diverse crops, facilitating health education, and developing community gardens. After their intensive training, participants transition into a Community Action Year, partnering with local non-profits to promote food assistance and enhance access to healthy foods. Our commitment to accessibility is evident as we offer this Fellowship without charge, reinforcing our mission to foster an inclusive and equitable food landscape. Applications are due by March of each year, with the program running from May to October.
