Good Samaritan Food Pantry

Good Samaritan Food Pantry, a compassionate initiative of the Metropolitan United Methodist Church in Detroit, MI, is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to families in need. Our mission is to ensure that every guest receives nutritious meals tailored to their preferences, including a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, assorted pantry staples, frozen foods, dairy products, and a monthly supply of household and toiletry items. We invite community members to visit us every Wednesday starting at 11:45 a.m., where food distribution occurs on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests are welcome to return up to two times each month, and we kindly ask that you bring your own bags for convenience. Together, we strive to alleviate hunger and foster a supportive environment for all in our community.
