Open Door’s Client-Choice Food Pantry, located in Commerce Township, MI, is dedicated to alleviating hunger by providing essential food assistance and care items to eligible individuals and families in need. We understand the challenges faced by low-income households, single parents, seniors, disabled veterans, and the working poor, offering free groceries to ensure that everyone has access to nutritious food. Our welcoming pantry operates with dignity and respect, allowing clients to select the items they require. To access our services, clients need to provide a photo ID, proof of residency, and documentation of household income. We also offer a seasonal voucher to shop at our resale store, enriching our community’s support network. In response to the ongoing challenges of COVID-19, our distribution is conducted through a drive-up service to ensure safety while meeting the urgent food needs of our community.
