Michael Garrisi

Michael Garrisi is a dedicated Clinical Social Worker and Therapist with over 17 years of experience in mental health and substance abuse. His career includes serving as an ACT coordinator and case manager for individuals facing chronic mental illnesses, and he spent four years as the Director of Visions Clubhouse in Pontiac. Michael also founded Pontiac Children Services, where he focused on the re-integration of teenage boys who were wards of the state back into their communities, assisting them in returning to school and finding employment. His decade-long work at a psychiatric hospital in Mt. Clemens further solidifies his expertise. As a cancer survivor of 23 years, and someone in recovery for 27 years, Michael brings a wealth of life experience and knowledge to his practice. He has also worked extensively as a substance abuse therapist across St. Clair, Oakland, and Macomb counties, tackling issues like marriage therapy, PTSD, and grief and loss. Michael is passionate about utilizing his experiences to improve the quality of life for those seeking his guidance, all while cherishing his role as a husband and father of three.
