Maria Barretta, a Licensed Professional Counselor (MA, LPC), is deeply passionate about providing tailored support to individuals. With a strong commitment to ongoing education and training in the ever-evolving field of mental health, Maria's journey began in Early Childhood Education, where her enthusiasm for helping young children and their families propelled her into an expansive career in counseling. After completing the Counseling Master's program at Oakland University, she served as a Counselor for the Oakland County Sheriff's Department, becoming a subject matter expert in areas such as substance abuse, depression, and schizoaffective disorders. Maria's expertise spans an array of therapeutic modalities, including coaching, play therapy, and humanistic approaches, allowing her to develop impactful, individualized sessions that cater to each client's distinct mental health needs.
