Tammy Wagstaff, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), understands the importance of forming a strong therapeutic relationship. She listens without judgment, creating a relaxed and supportive space for her clients to achieve their personal goals. With over 20 years of experience, Tammy has guided individuals facing challenges such as self-esteem issues, relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, stress, life transitions, family conflict, LGBTQ-related concerns, and trauma histories towards finding peace and the skills necessary to create fulfilling lives. Tammy believes in the inherent right of every person to be heard and understood. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in strengths and mindfulness, while she skillfully integrates methods from cognitive-behavioral therapy, positive psychology, acceptance and commitment therapy, narrative therapy, rational-emotive therapy, and humanistic therapy. Understanding that no two clients are alike, Tammy tailors her approach based on each individual's needs, ensuring that the techniques employed facilitate the achievement of their unique goals. She obtained her Master of Arts in Counseling from Oakland University in 1999, specializing in child and adolescent counseling.
