Nightingales Harvest

Located in Benton Harbor, MI, Nightingales Harvest is dedicated to providing comprehensive food assistance and hygiene support for families battling cancer. We understand that proper nutrition plays a critical role in improving survival rates and recovery times for patients undergoing treatment, while maintaining good hygiene is essential to protect those with weakened immune systems. As the only free cancer family pantry in the region, we address the pressing need for access to nutritious foods and essential hygiene items among local residents. Our program offers both perishable and non-perishable foods, personal hygiene products, and cleaning supplies at no cost to cancer households in Northwest Ohio and Southeastern Michigan. What sets Nightingales Harvest apart is our commitment to personalized care; we conduct home visits to assess individual needs, deliver food and hygiene items directly to patients’ homes, and provide referrals to additional community resources. Our services are available during treatment and extend up to three months afterward, ensuring ongoing support for patients and their families. We collaborate with cancer agencies, physicians, and hospitals for referrals, as well as welcome self-referrals from patients, caregivers, and family members who seek our vital assistance.
